I recently posted on another great site (walleyecentral) about some information they could get here. I see that it has gotten 200 or so hits. It occurred to me that some might "discover" this one and become regulars, but wondering how YOU found it. The best I can recollect it was from a google search of just icefishing.

I was doing a Google search for Slammer tip ups and found a link as one of the topics on the forums. I sure am glad I found this site. Lots of info and easier to use than some of the other sites I've tried.

A fellow icefisherman told me about this site in the parking lot as we were both walking out to a lake here in NJ a couple years ago.

I too, got LUCKY as I was looking for an adequate site for this kind of information and comraderie. That's how I met some great fisher folk and got good information. Thanks again foks, and a very Happy New Year to all. Tight lines and safe ice.

found this site by accident when surfing the net looking for ice fishing equipment---now i can't leave it alone--sooooo much info and tips ,wish they had something like this when i was younger and could get arround better

A friend told me about it a few years back. Now whenever I meet people on the ice I ask if they are on here and belive it or not a lot of people never heard of it. I'm sure some of them have jumped aboard. It usually only takes one stop here and your done.

true story. About 5 years ago, my nephew and I were joking around about all the ridiculous website names while ice fishing. He said " I wonder if " baitbucket.com " is a registered website. I typed it in as a search but did not get a hit, then I started with other ice fishing equipment and voila, I found iceshanty.com and the rest, as they say, is history

--mnice,told me about IS,, thanks Jon,- got to meet coldfeet who lives about 10 minutes from me, since then, coldfeet and I have met for coffee and breakfast,--- and a lot of BS sessions over the phone, also both of us belong to the same local 17 IUOE, OPERATING ENGINEERS. Talk about a small world. !!!!

I also do the same thing. I found the site by looking for an ice shanty and ended up here. Now I tell everyone to come here and I have made some good friends. Don't be shy, tell everyone you meet on the ice.

I heard about this site while out fishing on Erie. I was laid off that winter and fished everyday, one of the many people I talked to out on the ice was talking about this site. Don't know who you are, but you were right. Great site, thanks.

Google. I think I found it looking for ice fishin stuff, not sure.
These forums are great for info, new recipes,etc,and its nice to see that you are not the only one who thinks about huntin and fishin when you can't be out there doin it.

Its very busy in spring,summer and fall but slow in winter and I think all jump to here to get there hard water fix- now I'm hooked as well.

I moved from North Dakota down to Nebraska and I was looking for places to ice fish around here and one of the places I stumbled onto was this beautiful little gem. All the little pieces of advice I got from here after I decided to become a member I figured what the heck I will do my small little part and join the militia as well.
