I have the 8" pistol, and it cuts ice like butter. Getting actual 8" and paying slightly less was how I decided compared to the kdrill

Give it a year or so,  it's almost like they sold a possible problem so next year's model can "fix" it

Ions are shavers up to 8in. The 10in ion is the shaver/chipper hybrid......which is basicly a flat blade mora blade with notches.

Why get the pistol bit over any other shaver?  If you want speed won't a mora/lazer/nero do the same job?

How much commission do you make on each k drill sale.  Also I am very surprised no one has gone after them for misadvertising it as an 8"!   ;D

I am selling my kdrill this year just because it is not an 8" auger.  The company has clearly lied about the size in order to sell their product.   I'm sure it wouldn't sell nearly as well if people new they were only getting a 7.5" auger.

Anyone else have the same problems with tightening the chuck on the Pistol?  I don't have giant hands but there just isn't enough room to get a good grasp on the chuck.   It would definitely be my first revision on the next version, even before the center point.

Agreed, that is so far the only change I'd like.

You have both drills right? How hard would it be to mount a foam float on the Pistol bit?

May be mix and match some items to gain some height and gain some finger room...then add the float or the bit disk. I believe I've read/saw that the Bit can be attached to the Clam Plate with ease.

1 million dollars.  Oh no my auger is a half inch off, better go sue the company, I'm also very surprised it hasn't been done with all the a holes out there.

I decided I don't need 2 drill augers, so if anyone is interested, I'll be giving away one of the 2 augers I used in the video.   You'll have to find my page on Facebook  "3 Rivers Fishing Adventures"  and find the give away post and comment on which one you want the KDrill or the Eskimo.

It's a win/win.  I got to do a fun video and I'll make a few bucks on the YouTube revenue, meanwhile someone will get an auger for pretty much nothing.   It's better than it sitting in my garage collecting dust, plus selling stuff really sucks.   LOL
