Any ice reports from Lake Storey?

We have a good 5" on Miss backwaters, and smaller lakes in the Quad Cities.  Anyone have a report for Lake Storey in Galesburg?

Went out today 8".  Awesome day weather wise but bite was slow

Plenty of safe ice last night.  It was a good solid 7".  Bite was just like I remembered it from a couple of years ago.  Catching fish pretty much non stop, but mostly small ones.  We didn't keep anything, but had about 6 we would have considered keepers (9"+) with the biggest being just a shade over 12".  Loads and loads of 5-8" little ones.  We fished from about 8:30pm - 12:10am. 

Hopefully we don't get any rain this weekend like they're calling for.  That would really hurt the quality of ice.

My bait shop was out of waxies any shops on the way to Storey open?  Coming from Bloomington area..

I will be there tomorrow morning brown carharts black coat blaze orange sweatshirt.  Black silverado.  If anyone is out and about come say hello!

Fished lake Storey today for the first time.  We caught around 75, 5 to 7 inch crappie and tons of 4 inch gills.....  Other than that nothing to write home about or make the trip for other than it is always nice to try a new lake and even better to do it on the ice.  The other fishermen seemed to be doing the same size wise.  Majority caught by round pump house.  Also tried just to the right of the beach area.

yeah some years its worth the drive when they are a smidge bigger.  just comes and goes year to year.

Went to storey this morning caught a pile of lil crappies and bout twenty 9+.. when started ice was melted a foot away from bank now its almost 3 foot n getting real soft..

Went and looked at the lake yesterday.  There was a lone fisherman by damn.  Ice on edge wasn't looking good for about 4ft.  Extended forecast sure doesn't help any.
