1st Connecticut general store

Hi All,
Just heard that the general store will be closing mid-January. I know it’s been for sale for awhile - apparently no buyers.
It’s been very convenient when fishing in the burg.
Looks like there is a bait shop - TJ’s in Clarksville off Rt 145. Anybody been there.

FYI I’ll be staying on 1st ct month of February

I can't answer your question but I'm pretty surprised to see they're having a hard time selling the buildings, property and running business for half a million... An acre with a falling down shack on it runs 150k+ up there now. I'll be up there for New Year, if learn anything I'll post it here.

TJ's is great, I bought bait there all last year, had everything I wanted which was suckers and smelt. He don't sell breakfast sandwiches though! I'm up almost every single weekend.

That store has always been my go to. I still call it Treats and Treasures.

TJ's is great. Good bait every time I've been....he also rents out shacks if interested. I think his hours are a bit sporadic but I go mid week usually so I message him and tell him when I'll be there and he shows up or someone else does to get you bait.
