Couple more trips with the little guy

Have managed to get on a local pond the last couple weekends.  Fishing was slow for the most part last Saturday.  Only got a couple bass up thru the hole.  Still had a great time with a buddy and my son.  Yesterday we went back but with 5 other kids for him to play with.  Most of the kids caught a fish but they all ate a lot of garbage and had a blast playing in the snow and in the portable.  My boy has surprised me both times.  He made it 4 hours last Saturday and didn't want to leave after close to 4 hours yesterday.  Brought me back 30 years when my dad and his buddies would take a big group of us kids out.  That was probably my last trip around here for the season.  Headed to Pittsburg in a few weeks.  Hope to catch a few picture worthy fish that I can post when I get back.

Good stuff  right there, as long as kids are kept busy, they are amazingly resilient,  unlike whenbwe were growing up, the clothing is much better, cold, wet feet are rarely  a problem anymore..

Kudos to you for getting the youngsters outside and into the fresh air.

Sounds like an awesome day.... miss those... its how I got into ice fishing, and it certainly wasn't about what we caught, just that there were flags to run for.
