Was raining here yesterday to but the temps at night are good for ice. Looks like ice is good almost every where up here now. Guys are starting to drive onto the big lake. Hopefully the ice gods will start smiling on you soon.

This has got to be one of the weirest years for weather in a long time. Its been cold enough to make good ice out here and the rest of you are just getting it or still have nothing, we usually don't start fishing until after x mass. And now they're saying we might be in the 60's next week. There goes the metro ice

and it was just getting fishable, am heading out in the a,m. to try it. Shoot maybe even some of the mountain lakes will get iffy.

Yup, only thick ice I`m seeing is in my drink. Sum lil puddles skimming over , nuttin over 4 ft deep skimming yet, with all the seesawing temps. I was looking to buy an sled/skimobile, should just put the boat back in the water! I usually get a chance to chase sum pannies on 50-70 acre ponds using the current year license before I have to buy this seasons license, Jan 1st, but don`t see that happening , its the 15th! I think they start selling next seasons(2012) license tomorrow. If I`m gonna get three months this year on the ice, I`m gonna have to head north during the last month. Did Dec 15th to March 15 last year. Not gonna happen dis year!

Well, the rain quit, along with the 43 degree weather, now it's windy and 30.....

Hit a local lake here in town this morning, only 4, 41/2 inches but boy were the fish bitting! 34 bows anywhere from 10" to 18" and caught my 1st walleye of the season, 18" had a ball for a couple hours! And only drilled 4 holes, lol

I just got my MO back from the shop, she is purring like a kitten after her coil transplant and she only needs 1 pull to start now!

Now if these 40-50 degree days would quit popping up I could go and try my MO out. I might have to go north here before too long just to get my fix!

Hear dat, glad you got yer drill squared Kevt528. Mine is hung in the garage, no hurries apparently. Might be able to get thru the season with my FinboreMicro HandAuger if this crapola keeps up. You mention north Kevt528, I was just saying it was gonna be mandatory in order to either jumpstart or extend this season.
Horatio was wrong- shoulda said " Go North MOman!"
The only "good" thing about the delay is that I managed to get a pretty decent lead-free and tungsten jig collection going to stay on the legal side of things here in NH. Was draggin arse to a complete switchover, finally got it done.(for now

can always add more tungsten!

got an early Xmas present today from the wife,

got a hummingbird ice 35 flasher.

Got the battery charging right now and going to try it out tomorrow.

She gave it to me early so I could use it tomorrow.

Spare blades for my MO from one of my kids

and I know the other kids are also getting me fishing stuff.

Its looking like a great Xmas for the hog

I'm lookin to purchase the S33Q8, but one of my friends told me they have several poor reviews. I've tried to read between the "humor" in this thread, but didn't see much for reviews on this specific model.
