Louis lake near lander

Is this accessible this time of year? Does anybody have any info regarding this body of water?
I saw that it might be good for some nice lake trout, figured it’d be fun to try a new lake this winters

Snowmobile only for access and it does fish pretty good in the past for some of the splake but if that population is down like they say might be tougher fishing but I guess sucker meat works the best other than that Christina lake does well on some Lakers from time to time one lake I want to fish one of these winter's to see if I can tie into a big one

Ya not accessible without a machine. I took the boat up there in November which was the first time I've ever been on the lake and did ok but not great. Marked a lot of fish but they were lock jawed.

Thanks for the info. About how far of a ride would it be to get in there?

I think it is about 4 miles if I remember right because you do not have to follow the road in some spots. But it has been years since I rode up there.

According to google earth it is about 8.5 miles from the parking area on highway 28 to the boat ramp. I would guess it to be a little further from the sinks canyon road.

I think it is about the same distance from Bruce's campground but just have not been up there in a while. Just depends on where you are driving from.
