My fishing buddy from Farson mentioned today that the ling fishing was pretty slow,  really mostly sucky at the Big Sandy Res.  Hopefully it will turn around soon.

WYIfish, when was your buddy on Big Sandy?  This past weekend?  It's beginning to sound like fishing everywhere was slow then.  I've heard the week after a full moon is much better...any merit to that?  If you're in touch with him would you mind posting or PM when/if it picks up...I'd like to get my little boy out on the ice where the catching keeps his attention and hopefully plants a fishing seed!

Some people swear by the "Solunar" tables, I personally think that the weather has a much greater effect on how fish act.  According to the tables, this past weekend should have been some of the best fishing of the year, with the big, full moon ???.

Who knows why fish bite better some times than others, their brains are tiny?!

Went up to La Barge today and saw a few guys out by the cliffs on the upper boat ramp. Was it any of the guys from the Shanty out there ?
Will be there in the am and then head to the Big Sandy for the night bite and a sleep over on the ice for Sunday.

WyoIce,  My brother and I are heading toward Big Sandy today (Sat.) for some wascally wabbit hunting then to the res. around 4:00 to set up for some evening fishing...won't be staying all night, though.  I'll have the walkie on ch 7.  We'll be in a maroon Dodge P/U and setting up a big Eskimo pop-up.  Only thing I'm unsure of is where?  I've heard to try up near the inlet.  If you're willing to share some info please PM me...that way I can get the message on my phone (maybe, depends on where we are!?)  Good Luck
