Boysen and Ocean lake perch and walleyes

I'm seeking help everyone! Three friends and I went to boysen last weekend in search for perch mostly but had absolutely no luck. It was our first time going there and we really didn't know where to start.  Is ocean lake better that boysen?  Thanks guys for your input
