the defense was great but ya gotta admit, Bell and Brown had a great day. Too bad they had to rely on Boswell in this game so much. 6 field goals is a heck of a game for the place kicker but they gotta do better in the red zone if they wanna get past the Pats.

As much as you and I may despise the Pats, they have been on a stellar run under the hoodie. Six SB trips, and four wins in 16 years. Amazing run in any era, but truly amazing in the salary cap era.

By the way, if "everybody does it" why is it only the ratpiots who seem to get caught? You'd think with all that experience cheating they'd be better at it. The other 31 teams in the league must be pretty good at hiding their cheating if the rats are the only ones getting caught... and "everybody does it"...

Think what you want Uncle, I'll take Cowher on his word. These teams are always looking for the "competitive advantage". I'm not saying it's right, but it is what it is.
If I recall, the Steelers were just accused by the G-men of deflating their footballs a month ago. It won't end up deflate-gate. And then there was trip-gate, and the kung-foo shot at the punter. It's sports, and you can't afford to live in a glass house.

I recall an AFC championship game not too long ago, Baltimore at New England, the game started off with the Baltimore punter being creamed while punting and no flag. Every time Brady had a 3rd down incomplete there would be a flag on the field and an unearned 1st down. The game ended with the Baltimore place kicker practicing kicking in to a net when it was time to kick a field goal to tie the game because the score board operator had 3rd down on the scoreboard when it was in fact 4th down. Kicker rushed out and muffed the kick, that is how the Patriots won.
I hope someday the scandals all come out and the cheating Pats are stripped of their trophys and disgraced for all time.
Ravens fan here saying GO STEELERS ~ we will see how they try and fix it, can't sack Brady unless you hold his hand and gently sit him down, touching him will probably draw a flag.

Say what you want about the Pats. If you can honestly say that deflategate was justified then you ought to have your head examined. They got caught filming but everyone else was doing it and only they get called on the rug. But they deserved it because they did it. In my opinion Brady is just a hell of a QB. Gets rid of the ball so quickly it's sooo hard to defend. Big Ben is just awesome. Such a tough Mofo. But let me tell you something that's gonna hurt the Steelers. That coach has no balls. If Brown was on the Pats and he did what he did, he would not be playing. Belichick will sit a guy for being 5 minutes late. The team knows it and that's why they're so good every year with so many different players. Team is never the same. Always changing. I don't know if any of you know about Jamie Collins, but he's an awesome talent with incredible athletic ability. But he wouldn't follow his assignment and would free-lance. He'd still make plays but would free-lance. Coach traded him to Cleveland for a cup of coffee. Pro bowler last year. Only in league a few years. Coach sent the message though. I can't see Pitt winning this game, especially at home. Our defense doesn't let anyone in the end zone inside the red zone. I'd be pissed if we lose but will pull for Big Ben if they make it to the dance. Good Luck boys.

Dedicated Browns fan here...I always root the the AFC North come play-off time, go steelers! It's a tough show ahead of them in foxboro...what will they try this time? Broadcast of the game in Ben's ear piece? Acquire a list of yer first 15 offensive plays? Who knows, and the mix squads of referees seems like an excuse to help cover up the one sided penalty calls that will probably plague the steeler secondary early and often, or at some crucial point in the second half...almost everything goes New England's way on 3rd downs...a daunting task, beat the Pats and the refs...If anyone can do it, Ben,Bell,Brown can overcome :thumbsup:

Glad there is a new rule for formation crap NE implemented. Not illegal at the time but gave the defense no time to respond in what 2 seconds. Should never have happened and never been allowed.

Being underdogs playing in their stadium and the history of playing Brady had BELICHEAT doesn't spell good things to come. We where all wishing but we fell short. I felt there was a poor game plan defensively and offensively. Can't beat Brady with zone coverage,and what about a QB sneak? Basically N.E.. defense stopped us but we also stopped ourselves. The game COULD have been close,but the outcome would have been the same. Maybe next year,sure would have been nice to have Bryant on one side. A.B. seemed to be thinking of all the money from Facebook. The Steelers never looked desperate or had the motivation to get it going,overall team play was average except for Ben. We still a good team and many wish they where in as many playoff games. Go PENS

No whining here...steeler offense left the defense exposed. Defense played well first half and it should have been 17-13 or maybe 20-13 at half. Offense didn't execute with poor blocking, dropped passes and inability to overcome Bells injury. Come out in 2nd half flat with a 3 and out. Defense didn't make the right adjustments by pressing WRs at line of scrimmage. Pats executed as they typically do. Pats practiced Friday meanwhile the steelers went to the movies...out coached and out played again.
Dan Quinn had the answers 2 Super Bowls ago vs the pats...should be a good super bowl. ATL defense built on speed and should matchup well against pats wrs. The run game is another story

So the AFC is represented bye the Goodell backed Patriots. Go figure.

Yea they need to figure out a way to keep those types of calls from changing games. I guess we're lucky it's not college rules and then he would have been ejected from the game. They do review all targeting calls in college ball but I've yet to see one overturned.........

Steelers are a great team and I love Big Ben.But that's the only reason they have been that good. Big Ben carries that whole team on his shoulders and it's just a matter of time before everyone figures out Levon's style of running. But their defense wasn't very good all year. Pats didn't even have to use Blount. Did you see him carry 6 Steelers to the goal line? No matter what team you back, you gotta appreciate seeing something like that. He's done that many times this season. He's a beast!! So, I feel bad for you guys because the Steelers aren't a bunch of whiners and that's why I have always liked them. Thank you man ;D those pats fans here might rewatch it, but won't admit to anything. They can't see it, because it's normal to them. The suspect calls and no calls that happen early and often, and late in the game on crucial 3rd downs are so blatant any more...it's become their football culture. :'(

Brady is by far the best in his era. Best ever, IDK. Certainly the best ever at the dink and dunk (and then he sticks a dagger in ya). Maybe the best of the modern era. IMO, Johnny U is the best QB to ever to play the game. He played in a different era, different rules, and for not much money.
Barney Belichick is like G. S. Patton. You may not like his methods, but he gets the job done. I'm not sure the "cheater" stink will ever wear off what many think of the man. IMO he didn't need another SB win to make the HOF, he's in.
I'm a Steeler fan, and luckily we don't have to live in the 70's. They've won more SB's than any team out there. We'll see what a great organization there is in Foxboro when time catches up to the current leadership.

Terry Bradshaw goes out of his way to recognize Brady as the best. Terry is a true sportsman and was a great quarterback. In my opinion he was the toughest qb to ever play the game.
