Went and checked the ice today, had 4 inches. Will be heading out Sunday to do some fishing!

Would also like to let everyone know, my dad who was DanaM on this message board passed away this summer. Ice fishing was life for him, it’s going to be hard going out on first ice this weekend without him, but I know that’s where he would be if he was still here! We fished hardwood last year for first ice together, and this was our first time out there. We got a 2 man limit within an hour! Hoping the fishing will be good again.

 Sorry to hear about your Dad. I have fished the Bay frequently over the years and always looked forward to his ice reports, he was a great help and seemed to know what he was talking about. He will be missed.

Hope you knocked it out of the park on Hardwood!
