my go to setup is a perch colored castmaster. so its brass with the stripes.14 to 16 in of line with the size 16 treble hook.i cut the perch meat quarter inch by 1 inch long. the size of a minnow .run ane barb through the   inside of the skin to the outside. and you have all hooken power you need.then you can change the size of meat.to catch bigger perch .
