Independence conditions?

Just passing word on, but my cousin fished it last weekend and he said 4-5 inches of decent ice. He wasnt brave enough to go up by the damn but he stuck close to mckenzie bay to the right of the launch. slaughtered the perch, caught a few eyes and one pike.

Was in 20 fow last Saturday in the same area as described by iceaddict. Marked very few fish, caught maybe 6 dink perch....moved 3 times to try to find fish. Had about 9" of rock solid ice.
