area the cone covers

Is there any way to tell how big of an area your cone is covering on a flasher.  I know that it will change with depth, but is there a rule of thumb for figuring out approximately how wide your cone is?

You the man!  Keep it up.  I might even give you a ride to the holes once we get ice if you promise not to memorize the specs on my snowmobile!  DOH!
