crappies /flags flyin 2-20

 did pretty good yesterday  for our first time out crappie fishing on a lake we never fished before. had no clue where to start so we ended up drilling a lot of holes and covering acres of water before finding the fish,   man! i,m beat today  :P



   after 4 hours of fishing ,dozens of holes drilled and only 4 fish to show for it we weren't ready to call it quits just yet.            3 gills and a 10 inch crappie


finaly found a spot where we iced a few crappies and set out the tip ups.
      the  fish turned on and we couldn't keep up with the flags -had one after another after another



 
   most of the fish were 9 to 12 inches but the kid ended up with a nice 14 inch slob -i had a huge one on myself but lost it at the hole  /choke ;)


all set for the night bite

 
started getting cold so in the trap i went - jigging up a few



   ended up with a decent pile of fish and ended up tossing back a bunch more

man,  :o those are some nice slabs.  ;D  It looks like you know all about the good night crappie spots, WTG.  :D very nice.  :)

seeing your son and the look on his face holding that crappie= priceless. nothing like spending the day on ice with your son and the bonus catching fish whatever size they are.

i was fishing way out in the boonies in ny -- cant tell where or i'll get lumped up by the local hillbilly's-  I'm probably already in trouble  :P ill have to wear a disguise next time i go there  ;)

id tell but i already got threatend  ;)2 i guess my guess was correct :tipup: it is a great place to fish they also have naked ice dancers but there all 50 year old fat guys :woot:

was a tough weekend for catchin fish, east winds ,clear skies and so on.at least we didn't get skunked   :o. the fish never really turned on for the evening bite but i did manage to ice enough for dinner,just barely.lost a half dozen in the hole too.

            the kid got a few crappies and a bass


  i ended up with the big catch of the day for a change


         this evenings catch minus the 6 i lost at the hole  :-\
