Im trying to find an ION Auger for $400.
If i can find one at that price Ill buy it and sell my Jiffy 10in auger.

Will be fun to have at the gathering this weekend. See if we can drill everyone's holes with it!!!!!!!!!!

Meh', your half way through the season and you finally got your jiffy tuned.  Wait till the deals come out in the spring or to see if they shake out any bugs and have a better model for the fall.  JMHO

I want to get a 6" gas auger. I feel my 10" is overkill about 75% of the time. I would like to own both. Anyone have any ideas on deals?

Might look into just changing the shaft out instead of having two augers.

i kinda like those ions too. wish they werent so much money. although its not like i really need one, i chiseled all my holes the last 3 days. no need for the auger in 3-5 inches of ice.

For what it's worth, I was at Dick's in Worcester yesterday and was checking out the Ion. They were selling an 8" model for $374.99. Had a few in stock. Called them again just to double check when I read your post. $374.99 confirmed!
