Drove down lake today.
North end I believe was safe for fishing last week
That’s no longer the case!
No one was out, so I assume it’s no longer safe!

Otisco Lake Ice conditions/general info

I was checking in to see if anyone could provide ice conditions at Otisco?  Was specifically questioning ice thickness on the main body of the lake in front of the Lakeside Vista Restaurant?  Was thinking of heading up for some catch and release Tiger action next weekend.  Also, if that doesn't pan out, any tips of perch fishing there?  Thanks and tight lines.

I was on the north end today. There's about 4-5" of ice with a bunch of slush on top. Plenty of folks out there. Saw south end iced over on drive up but not sure how thick it is. Main lake has no ice.

I went up to the north end today.  Open water out near the narrows.  Be careful.  I measured 3 inches of good ice, with questionable ice/snow/slush on top of that just south of the dam.  I saw 2 spots where it looked like the ice had broken and someone got a wet leg.
 Everyone is between the narrows and the dam.  Ice is not safe out in front of the park.  You can see several open water spots.

Yea them 2 spots u seen where it looked like someone got wet my buddy's were out there yesterday sunday and some dinks putting it nicely cut triaangle in the ice .must be to site fish.and there's alot of 10 inch holes cut in ice..ppl are getting retarded on the ice anymore why would u cut huge holes for small gills are idiots looking to kill ppl smarten up..10 inch auger fine..cutting triangles to site fish out of not ok..strictly my opinion

If you want to get on the main lake bring a boat. Main lake was open on Sunday.

Thanks for all the feedback.  I'm hoping after this week, things should tighten up a bit.  If all goes bad, there's always Tully Lake right there.
