We had these down in Georgia, they can get pretty big. And just like down south. They make a mighty fine bait!! Have caught a many channel cats with these.

We have those in some of our lakes around here also thats a big one though..i havent seen one that size.....

I caught a couple dozen last week in mill river. I have caught them for a few years now.

If you are seriously thinking of it, They are very bony. The predators love them so they must taste good right?

pretty sure those have been in the lake for a while now. I caught one little one in a stream in south burlington last spring. Was pretty odd to see, had never seen one before.

caught a large one at the sandbar after ice out 3 years ago and it had a lamprey on it too.

Lots of them in the lake now. Pretty common to catch them in the weedy bays while fishing for pan fish either through the ice or open water. Someone I know tried to eat one and it was all bones. Another odd invasive showing up regularly is the tench which is also common in the weedy bays.

I think they got in when the lake flooded a few years back, and some Canadian fish farmer had his pond flooded.
Silly rookies, traps are for animals!!  Tilts are for kids!!  Fishermen use tip ups!
