Where have all the white perch go?

They’re getting harder to locate nowadays, anybody else having trouble getting on them lately?

Hooked into a school today at van everest. Not a lot but they were good size.

50+ feet of water. The school passed through twice in 2 hours. I think VtMatt is correct, they are just roaming around following the bait.

I think if someone with an ATV really wanted to, they could find the big schools out in the deep deep water...they could be suspended in 100 FoW....but nobody really fishes it.

I did manage to go out after work and get on a couple dozen large ones right at sunset.
They sure are roving around a lot.
Big time schools of small alewives they're chasing it looks like.

from what i can tell the small alewives are stunted from the cold and the fish are gobbling them up.
