Nice little trout. Hopefully you’ll catch something with some size before the season ends.

Nice looking laker..and rod/reel combo. IA

I want to try more laker jigging next season,..... what rod,  action,, line type and lb. test  would you recommend for general laker jigging for shallow depths- medium depths-and deep, over 100 fow depths?
My boots on some ice... A line down a hole...Some fish on the screen... And a flag in the air !......Winter is Good !!

I don't usually add anything on here but maybe someone can identify. Yesterday after a morning trip to Oscars for some corn beef I told my wife I wanted to check out Hearth Stone State Park where I was ice fishing last Monday with my friend. Well after a scary trip down the hill with my truck out of control a little my wife was pretty nervous. After reaching the bottom lot I noticed the Polish (no jokes) guys  from Connecticut I met earlier in the year at English Brook were out there laker fishing. Now I'm thinking hey I'll go up again Monday because my wife won't know it seeing she is leaving for Goshen to see my new granddaughter for a few days this morning. She didn't know I fell in at Summit Lake twice over  a week ago. That water was cold. The draw is strong so you guys know what I mean huh. I'm trying to distract myself by looking into buying a crossbow this week or casting from shore for walleyes at Saratoga. Help.

RJ's Archery in Coxsackie advertised a great deal on a Killer Instinct 370 today on Facebook -normally $750 and on sale for $575.

That hill is nasty with snow on it. I slid down the first part with my truck and Trailer with the atvs on it. I ended up just parking in the small lot at the bathrooms .

Looks like perfect conditions for hypothermia with a chance is death . I’ll wait until spring !

Those conditions still exist as of Monday.

John if you go watch for the soft ice.

Looks pretty shot. If we get something cold this week it might be enough to get off shore. If not i can always just make a drone video instead!

It would require walking out on the ice to drill the hole .If it’s that safe I’d rather use my 36 inch tuned up custom  lol

no, but they certainly are annoying when an inconsiderate operator (pilot ?) sits one over your shanty for a few minutes.

It sure was.  Even Erica got a cow that was 32".  Her first through the ice.  Jamey's boy, that was outstnading.  Terry had a couple big ones over 32.  You, Brian, and I think a few others all surpassed the 30" mark.  Scotty and T lead the numbers with over 300 each this season?

Next season I’m gonna carry my open water rod. So if a drone is near I’ll hopefully be able to cross that off my bucket list of caught during ice season!!!
