Fishing on Rush lake, Minnesota?
« on: Aug 17, 2005, 07:16 PM »
Hi

Just wondering if anyone has been fishing crappies on rush lake this summer.   If so how big and how many crappies have you been getting?   What side, east or west, what structure did you catch them on and what bait were you using when you caught them?

                                                      Thanks for the info

Which Rush Lake ? ? there are at least four of them in Minnesota.

1. Becker County - half way between Detroit Lakes and Park Rapids

2. Chisago County - just west of I35 in the NorthBranch/Harris/RushCity/PineCity area

3. Crow Wing County - on the WhiteFish chain

4. Cook County - almost straight north (a little NNW) of Grand Marais half way to the Canadian border

I'm not sure about the crops, but the last few days I've found some real nice sunnies in 10'-14'.  Strange but true....but we've even got 2 sunnies at 10" hitting a shiner and 3/8 ounce jig, bottom bounceing for eye's.

I've seen that before on west Rush and in deeper water during the day.
