Anyone go up to Big Pond Today?

Temps suppose to be freezing tonight up there and tomarrow getting down around 9 one night and 12 another.  That should freeze all this rain.  If anyone has been by there please report how the ice is looking.  We dont need freezing during the day just at night to freeze all this stuff.

 FISHON-2 AND I WENT TO BIG POND THIS MORNING. COULD NOT GET ON THE ICE OPEN ALL AROUND THE EDGES AND OPEN AT DAM.WE ARE GOING UP TO TUPPER LAKE THURSDAY TILL SUNDAY.UP NORTH IS WHERE THE SAFE ICE IS.CANT WAIT TO SLAM SOME MONSTER PIKE.

Yh I got up there around 10 and discovered the same thing.  Cant believe it wasnt froze over with the cold temps.  Not sure when it will be ok again either. :(

THAT IS HARD TO BELIEVE!!!!! THAT PLACE IS IN SUCH A HOLE AND AT A PRETY GOOD ELEVATION, I THOUGHT FOR SURE IT WOULD BE OK. MAYBE THEY GOT SOME REALY HEAVY RAIN.....I JUST CHECKED A SMALL POND HERE IN ULSTER COUNTY, GOT ON WITH A 5' PLANK  WENT OUT ABOUT 10' ,CHOPPED A HOLE, 5" OF ICE.  I AM GOIN MONDAY!!

Yep thought it would be ok also.  If I have to go out on planks, I will just stay home wouldnt feel comfortable doing that.  Guess I will just fill up the tub and practice jigging. :'(
