First ice fish this year.
« on: Jan 23, 2016, 06:42 PM »
Got out today to Perry Reservoir. Ice was thin @ 3.5 to 5.5in but fishing was was good if you gave them what they wanted and how they wanted it. Salt and Pepper Panfish assassin's dead still in front of their nose. Biggest crappie was 15.3in with several other 11 to 15in. Got to try out the new Finbore 6in auger since I wont be putting gas in the Eskimo this year. I'll give the Finbore two thumbs up as it cuts easy and fast. Sure would like to post some pictures but I remember it being next to impossible and life is too short for that.

Went back again Sunday the 24th and fishing was very good again with a limit of 20 fish, 11 to 15in. Lost three monsters at the hole, enough to make ya cry. It got to almost 50 degrees today form 20 this morning.
