Went out to Waterbury Reservoir in search of smelt! Ice looks pretty rough with standing water everywhere!

Were you able to get on? How much ice left?

I didn't go out far at all because the pressure ridge seemed pretty impressive! I didn't know how much it degraded! I also didn't check the other access point.

I’m hopeful that there is plenty of ice under that water and frozen snow. I’ll be out there this week and will report on conditions.

Just got home, fished with mudchuck and another buddy. Did pretty well on smelt, shoreline is getting a little sketchy but there is over 2 feet of ice. Top half is white but still some hard ice under.
