I was going to drive out today and I'm glad I didn't. Some guy got there a few minutes before us and drove his pickup out on the lake and the police showed up and were really upset that someone was driving on the lake. We had to tell him the ice was plenty safe but the cop didn't care because the rules say you can't drive off the paths of the park. They were calling him dumb S.O.B for even thinking of driving on the ice. They just couldn't believe people would drive a car on the ice! We told him we were driving on Badger and he was very surprised. There were a total of three police cars that showed up. They really thought they had a big deal on their hands!

Thats pretty funny that the cop didn't realize the amount of people that drive out onto the ice when the conditions are right.

I believe this is a city park/lake and has different rules than a county or state facility.
