Houghton lake ice report

Any reports on ice conditions up there after all the rain.

There were some trucks on it yesterday afternoon. The rain should not have hurt it much, just watch you step by at holes as I am sure they are much larger now than the day before. I saw a report this morning that said there was 20 inches but I do not know that for sure. This ice we have in the area will last well into Mar and maybe April. One lake I was on Sun easily has 24 inches of ice

If there is any new snow between now and then be very careful. I just read about guy fishing Higgins lake finding hole up to 3 foot dia today. These started out as 8 inch holes
