Had a good weekend, fished Friday, got a nice pile of gills, Saturday was specs(no smelt)

then today pile of slab gills again 9" average

.

That's awesome!! I haven't been able to find fish like that all year my best is 12 keepers in 6 hours!!

I was off to a slow start this year, just keep drillin looking for active fish..it will only get better I hope..I'm done with gills for awhile so now ill spend countless hours and dollars looking for perch! I love perch, but irritated with perch fishin!! But that's fishin! Thanks for the comments guys!

nice fish and good photo,thats the size I like to catch we have some lakes around branch county that give them up but ice isn't good yet,just getting 8 inchers but good eating.

well thanks again..i will say this, i have little succes after 1 of my green glow spikes comes off..just 1 they wouldnt bite, 2 was the show stoper..ill be postin pics of my icehole till the bay or muskegon freeze..also will be shredding inland lakes in search of perch!!! so i plan on lots of fishless days

GREAT JOB !!!! i havent cought a gill in 8 years .been in montana ,just moved back home ,got some perch and some eyes so far ,they will be next !!!
