Fishing in a park?
« on: Jan 02, 2011, 01:12 PM »
Can you ice fish on ponds and lakes that are in parks there are a few spots that i fish in the summer but not sure the park is technically closed? Then there is one that is a launch to the river so it is open all year?

i had this same wonder so i went to the city hall of the city the park was in that i lived in and they said no its closed so i got up a bunch of guys that wanted to fish it in the winter and we went to a city meeting and complained asking why isnt it open in the winter cause its budgit is based on summer and winter taxes so if i pay winter taxes on it i wanted to use it in the winter so they ended up opening the gate all year round and pilling the plowed snow there for the kids to play on good luck with this hope it works out for you. id start by going and asking someone at the city hall if its a city owned park
