Bait Tank

Setting a tank this year in my garage. Should I fill that tank with water and let it run with the filter for a few weeks before adding minnows? Any info would be a great help. Thanks

That is exactly what I do.  Seems to work. I also change the filters about once every two weeks when there is bait in the tank.
