When building a sled what should i go about attaching the skis to the sled ? I want a six inch to a foot space between the bottom of the sled and the skis. I am not sure what i can use for a spacer between the sled and the skis. If anyone has a sugestion i would be more than happy to here it. Thanks !!!

Being an ex-electrician I would opt for 1/2"emt conduit. It's inexpensive and galvanized.

I would probably take a piece about 20" or so, flatten the ends and a spot about 2" long in the middle, bend the angles I want and bolt it to the skis and sled bottom at each corner.
