Went down to gull tonight, set up in the 2nd south cove in 61 fow, ice was 5+" and very nice! Little snow cover to make it good for walking. Ended up with 191 between 4 people. Fished 8-midnight. Lost a very nice pike on the 1lb fireline. That made the night. Go get em boys. Also no pic as my phone had died.

My friend & me enjoyed listening to you guys while you were trying to get that pike in. It was very entertaining!!!! Last year we caught several pike while smelt fishing on the north end. You might want to add a gaff to your gear bag,it might help ya get em in the shanty next time. Good Luck !!

I am just blessed to have a job that pays great and I have 3 and 4 day weekends. Yeah that pike was a blast! I wish we could have landed it!

Wait till tonight (Sat) it will really like the moon. Stake your claim early with your shanty cause its going to get busy. People around here been waiting a bit to long to fish on the hard water. Get it while you can...I'll be out there as well. Good luck and be careful everyone.

was there this am. no good buddy ice a pike no size but good eater . few guys pullin in a smelt or two slow . I just had tip ups in. back in the am may put a pole in and try for some smelt

I prefer car batter, jumper cables, and a 5ft metal rod.
