Just looked at the live feed cam facing north. You can see ice & snow in the middle of the lake. Shouldn't be long now.

They update every 5 seconds.  Keep a close eye on them and you can see changes.  Sometimes in the winter you can see people walking and cars go bye.  Not sure of the exact location of the cams.  I believe that they are in the middle somewhere pointing towards the south and north but not positive.  Good luck.

Hows the Silver Lady looking, and first hand eyes been to take a look, the cam view is a little tough to make a good assessment? As for everyone worrying about the thread getting locked up again, that all came down to the moderator that was on that thread last year if you ask me,thank goodness we have a different moderator this year.Everyone only had Silver to fish on,and just the south end at that, and the tourneys going on making matters even worse, and guys worrying about the lake getting "fished out",it was ugly and miserable.Lets hope we get ice on all the lakes we normally fish,so the cry babies can spread out,and are not all concentrated in one place,Silver Lake.Good Luck to all this season,be safe, and I look forward to seeing many of you on the ice.Any first hand news on what the lake is doing would be most appreciated, thanks

Are some here of the belief that reports on ice thickness and conditions are "hand feeding" people?  I also read "reports" where people say things like "get out there and check for yourself" regarding conditions.  This to me is simply "locals" that don't want anyone from more than 20 minutes away fishing "their" lake.  These types of comments are really getting under my skin (if they really represent the attitudes I have mentioned).  The R & C board is intended to help out fellow fisherman and increase safety - something we should all be concerned with.  And yes, constantly asking what the conditions are is annoying too.  Just remember those of us who come from farther away often add some $$ to the local economy.  More than that we are a part of what I see as a "fishing fraternity" where one of the qualifications for membership should be good sportsmanship.

I hope to be out on the Silver Lady Saturday or Sunday.  I look forward to visiting and harvesting sensibly and selectively.
