Title: Gouldsboro State Park is drained
Post by: Dan_C. on Oct 26, 2005, 12:04 PM
I know a few of you often look at hitting Gouldsboro State Park in NEPA for first ice.  Sorry to say it is drained and I'm not sure when it will be filled.  They are currently having "dam" issues and are running into political red tape to fix it.
Tobyhanna may be your next best bet for this area although the fishing isn't as good as Gouldsboro (my opinion)

I was going to bring up the subject of Gouldsboro, as I didn't know what was going on with it. Thats too bad its drained. I'll look to either Tobyhanna or Upper promised land for first ice. Unless I feel like traveling a bunch miles more to Jean.
