Yea, It's a tad early, October and all, 32 degrees in Miami County Friday night....

Had ice on the truck this morning and had the shanty out last month lol going crazy still on the boat wishing I was standing on the ice lol

Getting ready. Have been buying ice fishing equipment all summer at the auctions when the prices are the cheapest..

I have been collecting rocks to test the ice from Red Bridge!!!!

Snowed like crazy down here this afternoon. Will report on the

Woke up to some.ice this morning might be just puddles and on sidewalks but it was there 😲

Tomorrow will be my last tournament of the year. Then duck hunting Sunday and deer firearm season to come and the sitting on ice.

Just checking in, had to with the current weather situation!

When it snowed the other day i drug the shanty out in the yard and sat in it for a while.... bite sucked but it felt good to get out....sorta. Im fired up to be deerhunting right now, but looking forward to a long cold winter

it's that time of year, i'm sure they are around. lakers are in and spawning, whitefish follow to eat the eggs, and then they spawn themselves this month
best month of the year for sportsmen imo!

I am just west of Chicago. We just got some colder temps (sub 32 degrees) but I cannot believe we will have good ice here before mid December. My buddy has a place west of Greenbay WI and we get up there a little earlier of the weather cooperates. I am ready to go and only need ice. Woo Hoo!! ;D ;D

Yeah, down here "early" usually means the first week in January.
Back in the 70's we once got on ice over a late Thanksgiving holiday. It
didn't last long and we had open water for a long time after that few days.
