Anyone ice fish the river around the bridge? I've never ice fished the river and would like to try... I'm a little sketchy about it tho. Anyones input would be great!

I drove over it this past weekend.  Didn't see any signs of anyone fishing out there, but I did see what looked like ski doo tracks on the west side of the bridge.

I have ice fished out from the old ferry launch many yrs ago strong current but we did catch a couple of walleye I would not get to close to the pillars of the bridge but i would try 50-75 yds directly behind the pillar were the current slows down. There are always nice walleye caught out from the ferry launch spring through fall.

Thanks for the info. Are there any better places to check the river out? Any ways to look for bad ice?

As far as access on to the ice the ferry launch is the easiest if you have a sled you can travel up or down stream there seems to be a bit of sled traffic.
