Winter Northern Pike

Does anyone know some GOOD SPOTS to get some nice winter jacks that isnt too far away from winnipeg..2-3 hours i can handle...anything more is a little excessive...any info would be nice

Always had great luck in sweet creek in hay bay across from grausdin point. Tip ups with 2 treble hooks and portuguise sardines worked awesome. Need a sled to get across though but well worth it. it is nice becuae there is no wind in the creek and able to make a fire outside to keep warm. I'll try to post pics when I figure it out.

              end of main at netley creek is great usually best in march but some there right now.

On the Red north of EOM where Devils Creek empties into the Red, or the gap between Netly Lake and the Red...again later in the winter would be the best bet.

Be careful if you try Netley by the Red. Found some holes near North side that only had 7" of ice with 9' of water(including ice). Didn't try any closer after that but presume it would be even less thick there. Tried there & got some bites but no fish.
It is easy access, can park your car right near there & try.

i tried netley yesterday...i think i might try graudsin point...i know that area pretty good and i know i can prolly bang some nice sized pics outta there...anyone know about willow point and if your allowed to fish near there in the winter time... anyone know if its even frozen :S

big whiteshell or falcon are good bets for northerns,could catch a few ma's

Pinawa bay in March is great for big toothy northerns!

your talkin pinawa bay right beside lee river??? i found 2 nice little reefs in there this summer...if i cant manage a big pike ill just go for some pickeral...but thanks for the info i love fishing in that area

thanks for the report! been meaning to ask about that lake for some time now.it is one of
my favorite lakes to fish in summer.
