Last day out
« on: Mar 29, 2005, 01:01 PM »
I went to Gull Lake on Monday the 28th and it was a pretty good day, although, the ice was murky and you couldnt see the bottom. I went with my friend and his old man and their neighbour. All of us could have ended up with our limits if we didnt lose them.... lol. In total we caught 10 White's and my friends neighbour had 4 perch (one 10"er). It was a good way to end the year for ice fishing.

Glad you had a good one to wrap the season up.  With all the warm temps Alberta's been having I'm surprised you still had any ice at all.  Here in Manitoba the ice on most lakes is still maybe 36" and solid, but the snow is soft on top.

Actually, when we got out there we were surprised that there was a lot of ice left. We were still able to drive on with a truck, and when we made our holes the ice was still a solid 10-12" thick.
