Buddy List

I'm a newbie.....did a search on buddy list to see what it's all about and am still confused. I've been going through a lot of posts and have found some folks that I connect with in many ways. What is/are the advantages of adding people to your buddy list?

I use it mostly to see who is online... if you scroll to the bottom of the community page, anyone on your buddies list will be in bold if they are on. But it nice to save ppl you've met, if your memory is like mine..lol

How do I ad or look for a buddy if I'm new to the site and don't know anyone

after you make a couple more posts you will be able to see the profiles of other members where it will give the option to"add to buddy list"
