Do you have any price lists?

We are in the middle of a web update right now, so there are some increases for 2014. However you can go to www.rosslakecamps.com and find pricing for some pre-set ice fishing packages that will give you a close idea. Our cabins vary in size and the lodging only rates are per cabin per night. There is a 2 night minimum stay, and each cabin has its own price depending on size and amenities. This list will also be posted on the website when the updates are complete. In the meantime, please just contact us for specific pricing information.

Plowed roads list for the North Maine Woods was posted to our Ross Lake Camps facebook page this morning. Let the planning begin!  We will have more detailed info to answer specific questions in a few days. We're trapped in the snowstorms trying to head north after the holidays.  Will get lines in the water soon!!!

Open and rolling.  First group arrived today and are out on the lake as we speak.  Hope they're slaying them.  We're still getting settled in for winter.  Will get going with pics and regular updates ASAP.

Snow base around 3' but mostly fluff. Finding 12 - 14 inches of good hard ice on the lake. No slush found yet. First guests rolled into camp today and reported about 25 flags on only 4 hours of afternoon fishing. Good Brook trout action, and a 6 1/2 lb togue was the highlight fish.

Lots of folks ice fish on their own, but If there's anybody out there who would like to try a trip out to our place, but finds themselves without snowmobiles and proper equipment, you are not left out.  We are equipped to provide transport service for our guests, and offer fully guided trips with all augurs, tip ups, jigging rods, and terminal tackle provided.  All you need to bring is plenty of warm clothes, your drinks, a camera, and your bait.

We're one of the last few lakes in the northeast with both a great numbers and sizes of these Whitefish.  A great fighting game fish that a lot of people don't know about.  That adipose fin puts it in the trout family, but they fight like a Salmon!  Can be caught on tip ups or jigs.

The ice conditions couldn't be better right now.  the deep freeze weather that we've had the last 2 1/2 days has hardened up that water between the 2 layers of ice.  No slush anywhere.  About 3 inches of snow on top.  We currently are plowed right in to the top of our driveway, so it's easy access.  That can change after the next couple of weeks, so folks do need to keep in touch with us.  Please contact us at [email protected] for further information if you would like to ask questions.  We've got cabin space open the weekend of Jan 31st, Feb 1st, and 2nd and unfortunately nobody has to worry about missing the Pats in the superbowl.  Come on up for some great fishing!

We're tearing it up on a guided trip right now!  Yesterday on 20 lines we landed 23 Lake Trout, 3 of them 3 pounds.  Everything else between 5 - 6 3/4 pounds.  About a dozen nice Whitefish and few brookies mixed in.  Had some gusting winds and the thermometer only hit 14, so pictures were hard to get without hurting the fish, but we managed a few.

Nice fish!

I notice the lake trout are rather dark. Is the water stained brown? (Tannic acid stained water).
