Title: Taking 4 kids today
Post by: Doeslayer on Feb 17, 2018, 07:54 AM: Today will test my patience and understanding as I take 4 children from 8-11 ice fishing.... I got a hotspot for good gills and perch so it should be nonstop action.... Which means lots of tangled lines and rebaiting for me lol.... Wish me luck!

Whenever I took kids and/or those who fish very little, I never planned on fishing my own line...too much else to keep my eyes and hands on. Tight lines to you my friend for what you are doing :clap:

Post by: Doeslayer on Feb 17, 2018, 07:35 PM: Fished the cuts at whites beach... Ice was 16".... I have never seen so many minnows in the water.... Fish didn't bite because they we're full I'm assuming..... Seen perch and gills all day a few bass and a trout about 2' long... Maybe a brown maybe a Steelie idk but it was a hoss.... kids liked watching the fish as much as anything... Especially the big fatties

Post by: Doeslayer on Feb 18, 2018, 12:01 PM: I could kill a doe a day all season if they gimme the tags.... I had 280 lbs of venison processed this year and did one deer ourself for jerky.... I can usually make it last until October... I have only bought 5 lbs of beef since October 1st this year tho so might run out early
