Title: Cooked
Post by: OldCaveman on Mar 07, 2015, 10:28 AM
Spent 8 hrs. on Pleasant Lake yesterday with a couple of friends. I can't believe how badly my face got sun burnt. Just wanted to remind you folks that this time of year a little sun screen is a good idea.

Fishing was slow as we only had 4 flags between us. We used eggs, power bait, shiners & dillies. I caught a 14" brookie with a bit of a hooked jaw on a dillie. My buddie pipes had the biggest brown I ever saw 1/2 way out of the hole when his leader broke and it sank back into the hole, also on a dillie. My buddie Mark had a leader break during hookset, he was using a shiner. The 4th flag was a chew & screw on a dillie. The travel conditions were pretty good as we were walking and had no issues. I did see a couple of ATV's get hung up once but it didn't take long to get free

OC, Nice to see the sun BUT it will do a number on your skin with the ice and snow reflecting also.   :)
