HT Enterprise Polar Big games.

I've had a set of these sitting ina bucket for about 3 years, Im gearing up to take the wife and kid out soon and planned on using these for them to chase around....I cant remember what the penholder like metal clip is for....anyone?

The pen holder is so the line guide does not un wind and let the fish take off with your bait with out triping the flag. Hint I took masking tapeand raped it around the stem and screwed the line guide on any way to prevent line unwinding.JMO
