The annual Tom Wren Ice Derby @ Pontoosuc Lake in Pittsfield is Scheduled for March 3, 2007 5:00 am TO 3:00 Pm
Adults are $ 10.00 not sure how much kids are I think  $ 5.00

This is a cash Derby usually around 700.00 To 1000.00 For the Heaviest fish a portion of the proceeds go to a scholarschip in the memory of Tom wren  :

This is a good derby except the check in is on the other side of the lake and if you don't want to drive across the lake the fish will be dead by the time you get to check it in. Went to it last year caught fish had to go all the way to the back side of the lake to check in a fish just to find that it was a biggest fish only derby. Then the fish was dead and couldn't release it. They should think about using 2-way radios or patroling with a wheeler or a sled. On another note we did have fun and got a bunch of fish. Go and have a good time. I will go this year but I will be closer to the check in place and the derby winner.(Me)(((((FLAG)))))
