awesome fish on a rod & reel. Mike gave me a Nor'easter and let me borrow one of his rods but I never had a chance to catch a pike. I returned the rod but he let me keep the trap, I think it's time to get a decent rod/reel setup and give it another shot. Thanks for the info on your set up.

I caught a 13" large mouth on a jig rod last week and I was pretty excited.....can't imagine reeling in that leviathan.  Awesome!
