What do i need?

So as alot of you know it will be my first time out on the ice since I was 14 this Saturday at the camp joslin Derby I have 5 tip ups, a jigging rod, an Ice chisel, hooks, leaders, split shot, a small Swedish pimple, some  Berkley micros, warm boot and gloves and a folding canvas camp chair...what else do i need? well I'm gonna see if i can find a sled to put all the crap in...any other suggestions? well other then lunch? thanks alot guys! I live only a short distance from cabelas in ct so I have access to just about anything..

With the amount of ice out there, i would at least upgrade froma chisel to a hand auger, and if you have the cash, go for a power auger if they still have some.  Cabelas usally fases out their ice gear by this time of year, but check out ctoutfitters, right down the road, they will have some gear.

I do have a skimmer and a shovel ended hand auger!  from around 1950 I dont mind doing a bit of work. thanks for the tip on ct outfitters and theres a camra on my phone...I decent one too

There is a ton of ice on the lake right now.  I think it has doubled in thickness within the last 3 weeks.  If you have a truck, you are more than safe to drive it out there if you want to.  I would guess there is at least 16 - 18 inches of ice.

Hand and boot warmers might come in handy.

beer, I wish, I had to quit drinking do to a heart problem years ago my heart is perfictly fine now but to keep it that way i had to quit drinking hand warmers are a good idea I thinkits gonna be in the 40's though should doubble check the weather..

Actually I found some ice cleats as well! they were at the bottom of the 1950's boy scout bag with the tilts in it so i got some 1950's ice cleats as well

This is what I would do if I were you. I would go out the afternoon before and find some people ice fishing. Next day chip out their holes. Easy. You need a skimmer, and a pair of needlenose or scissor clamps, for cutting and releasing. I love my dr slick mitten scissor/clamps but anyway. You are allowed f lines (Holes) get a bucket and a dozen shinners. Put four tip ups out and jigg a maggot or piece of worm on a small hook with a small spit shot in the fith hole.

Bottom line creating holes could be a problem, chpping out yesterdays holes easy...4 holes shinner and tip up...5th hole jig...but some scissor clamps or at least bring needle nose...the idi actic armor, 4 stroke strike lite auger, portable shanty, thorn bro rods with custom stands and Okuma bait runners, a half dozen heritage Lakers cross traps, and a half dozen Bever Dam flat traps with be in your future.
