I've been using ratso's. I also tried some small spoons with 2 or 3 waxies on them and thats been working good too.

I like using a diamond jig and a plastic like a nuggie. Its pretty cool to ice 30 yellows with out having to change bait. Only thing that would be better is a bare hook and if you find the right hole, thats possible too.

Url. On the reverse structure 14fow.  Stayed with Portavilla outfitters 90 dollars a day for a 6.5x16 extremly nice guys. I would highly recomend them if anyone wants to catch a buncha walleyes.  Or a huge northern I heard someone got a 47incher while I was up there.  Thats close to 30lbs ;)

This is the reverse structure im talking about. Close to 7 feet of ice in some areas due to it piling up on top of each other.

I miss Upper Red.... We used to go up every summer for close to 10 years. Started staying at West Wind resort in Waskish. GREAT food! Never ice fished Upper Red, going up to MN for a week in February maybe we'll try up there..

Had me a nice 3 1/2" or so been growing since Aug. 13th (daughter's birthday) for her and for ice fishing. Spent a lot of time itching to get to that good spot and a few days ago we decided to sacrifice it to the gods of winter which seems to be working  ;)2 but man is my face freezing    I'm thinking you're gonna love it tomorrow in that cold.  ;D Good luck

Dodges point was open a few weeks ago it skimmed over with very thin ice.  Basically farmers and the little lake is the only thing thats safe.

Anyone been out on farmers in the past day or two?  Just wondering if its starting to look okay for quads yet?  Mine needs to get out and be ran. Only has 200 miles on it.

out on farmers this morning...8" of good ice.  managed about 20 yellows (all about 10" - nice eaters) in a little over 2 hours...mcintosh was open looked like the rest of the lake had frozen but cracks were wet...still pretty thin elsewhere.
