I better start saving cans ;D

The hayday of the stacked jumbo crappies at red is over im afraid.  Theres still some of them in there though.
You can catch all the eating sized eyes you can handle though.

We caught exactly zero crappies.  Talked to some locals and crappie are very few and far between.  Really too bad, kind of like walleyes at Clear Lake.

Come and get your fill of yellows!!!

Had my 2 boys with me last night managed to fill a bucket between 2:30- 4:45. Only wanted 30 for a fish fry tonight, but before you know it I'm cleaning fish for an hour. Had a great time getting both kids out at the same time. Don't get that opportunity very often.

Get out with your kids stay mobile and use spikes with green jigs.

Alot of people out nobody talking lets here your reports.

Good luck

Im East Se of the channel in 9fow hard bottom marking millions of fish and havent caught one the past 2 times ive been out.  You can jig them up to about 5 foot under the hole and its tons of cigars.  I needa replenish my yellow supply.  Where have they been picking them up at?  The little lake?

Best bite is in 6 to 7 fow. You have to drill lots of holes to find the willing biters if you are marking fish that won't go move on. My brother and I were able to catch 20 yellows near the permies east of the channel on monday in 9 fow. I will be out Thursday looking for new fish starting to get a little crowded where I am. ;D

small jigs tipped with spikes

Good luck

Just got back from up north. Did not land any hogs but managed 2 8 pounders, and a bunch of 3 to 4 pounders.

Red lake was slow until we got out by the center bar. Thanks to Chris and the portavilla crew we were the first ones out. Caught our limit with no problems!

Think the only thing anyone is catching over there is a buzz. Seen a few shacks over by dodges point looks like they were coming off the pumphouse ramp?  Think I'm going to get the portable out and hit up the east end of the lake I drove out a couple hundred yards off the ramp last nite just to see if it was do able the snow really wasnt that bad and this end of the lake looks untouched so far this winter.

Not a bad weekend for the ice. Did have to move a little more often but came home with 50 yellows. Had a couple 13 inch eyes hope they will grow for next time I see them! Hit the 8-9 foot spots till you find the eaters and not the lookers. Have a good week luckydog. Had to cover the pager so hope you did well over at Spirit!

Planning on heading to clear lake this weekend with a group.  This is a lake that we usually dont fish.  Is there any lake maps other than the one the DNR has on their website?  Also are there any coordinates of structure or points for this lake that are public?  If not where would you reccomend someone who is not familure with the lake start when looking for fish?

We were out 12 hours on Farmers in a permanent and the fishing was pathetic. 12-15 yellows and that was it. Where are they catching the yellows? Do you have to be mobile and where??????

Hey, Coketec nice catch! The group of 3 I had out that day only managed 35 yellows and 1 13"er. We worked some of the 11' water guess we should have stayed a little shallower. Another, friend up from C.R. did hit a hot bite from 430 till 515 and end his day with 54 yellows and 4 shorts.

The perch bite at Spirit was ok we marked alot just had to work our butts off to get bites kept 50 threw back several 6 to 9" fish.

I will be out the next 5 days battling the cold. Sure fishing will be a little tough.

We are starting to catch a few on minnow and corks, but small jigs still produces more.

Crappiebuster pm me your ph # I will send you a couple photos. If you would like? Or maybe I will just stop by your shack and have a cold one with ya.

Good luck
