I don't think so.  By thursday or friday it should be good.  The geese have a spot open in the center so if go be careful.

Hold your horses. Plenty of time left. The lake is still full of open water holes everywhere.
I wouldn't even think about walking out on the ice this week much less dragging an auger and gear out and punching a hole in this hymen.

Just my .02 and I'm a hundred feet from the lake here in my office.

That makes more sense as to why nobody is fishing.  I looked at the live camera and it looked like some open water out there.

I found a good 4 inches on the little lake today.  2 other shacks out there.  Still a few small open areas you wanna keep an eye on.  Fishin was slower than hell.  Good to get back on the lake again though.

The geese have been keeping it open in spots. Most of the little lake is 4 to 5 and if you can find some fish you will catch them.   Be safe.

It's gonna be very dangerous out there for awhile. With several inches of new snow forecasted there will be thin spots where the geese and ducks kept it open so be careful.

If that forecast is correct the winds will pickup to 20-30 and blow all that white stuff off there.

I went out on the lake for the 1st time this year there was a solid 6 inches. Did not see a fish until 4:45 then had a short 15 min bite, only managed to land 2 yellows out of a dozen hits. Not a real fast start but still great to be out!!! trying again in morning

We lucked out and only got 1.4" of snow. With this cold snap it's gonna make ice now. Go fish.  :)

I drove by little lake this morning and counted 8 shacks out there. Use the McIntosh State Park entrance.

Stayed out all day only managed some cigars and a perch. Partners were roughly the same with a couple yellows mixed in. Good ice 5-7 inches. The big lake should be well on its way to fishable by next weekend

Caught so many cigars I couldnt keep track of them.  One just shy of 14 definetly looking skinny poor lil dude looked like he hadnt ate since march. Plenty of ice over there for wheelers the least I found was 7 inches even in the channel area.  Didnt catch a single yellow though which is very very odd. ???

She was around 4 degrees when I left the lake .  Its getting about time to get the big house out there.  Should be driving out with pickups in a week or less.  Stay safe guys.

7-8 inches of good looking ice. 13in wally and two yellows.  Sure was nice getting out though!
Tight lines and happy hunting to all! Go Vikings!!
