Custom Jigs Slender Spoon
« on: Feb 09, 2015, 06:35 AM »
I've tried jigging raps, buck shots, do-jiggers, and slender spoons all tipped with minnow bodies or heads. The slender spoon is the only one I'm getting action on.  Is this normal or should the other jigs be producing more?

Well each of those lures have different actions. Its possible you arent jigging the others the way the fish want. Took me days of fishing to learn the rap. Takes a much different jigging motion than a slender.

Not that many, but I'm referring to the number of strikes and hits in comparison.

That's probably the problem. Thanks Kevin

I was just curious how well it was working for you. I have heard such great things about some of those lures and have the same problem as you. Go to Youtube and there are some videos on how different people are fishing them to get results.

make sure you are using a swivel on ure leader when fishing a jiggin rap...it will helicopter instead of swimming in circles.
