clear water

whats the best method to target walleye in a clear water lake, this lake gets up to 75 foot deep
This lake is crystal clear can see a buckshot 17 foot down. There is no weed lines anywhere just a grass on the bottom.
Caught 1 sat. in 23 foot on a flat adjacent to 40+ deep water. Only structure is points around a few coves. This lake is loaded
with stunted pike 20 inch and under also no major source of baitfish. The lake is about 150-200 acres with 3 major coves and small creeks feeding it.
Any response will ba appreciated thank you.

My biggest tip would be down size your presentations.

I was on a clear lake this weekend and the walleyes would come 10 to 15 feet of the bottom in 33feet to meet my jig as i was dropping it.  They seemed to like it when i would run from them with the jig when one came in.   In another case last year on a different lake but 10fow  i think they could see me or hear me walking on the ice because when i got a flag and was walking to it when i got ten feet away they would take off running everytime so we tried to stay away from our flags and not make many movements it seemed to help.

I typically use a slower presentation and lighter line Or a long fluorocarbon leader. I like using live bait in clear water
Early to bed, early to rise, sit on the ice and make up lies

+ 1 on all above suggestions...

Clear water usually means the most productive time to fish is after dark.
